Today I woke up to this email from Facebook. My previous suspension happened after they decided I was a "professional" and I needed two factor authorization on my account. I posted the image of them requiring that and it was false-flagged by the Facebook AI as attempting to steal people's passwords by "impersonating Facebook".
I believe that 2FA is a scam. (links to Rob Braxman videos on this provided)
Anyway, I've learned to not post about Facebook idiocy on Facebook.
Now they want me to turn on "Advanced Protection" which means to them that I have to use a passkey to sign in instead of a long secure password.
I have my doubts about passkeys being more secure or useful - especially since I alternate browsers depending on which has the best working ad-blocking at the moment.
So this is just another annoyance. But one that they'll happily suspend my account over.
Gotta love this phrasing : We've already turned on advanced login protections for your account.
Gosh thanks!

Your account requires extra security through Advanced Protection
Hi Eric,
Your account has the potential to reach a lot of people, so we require stronger security. We built Advanced Protection to help defend accounts like yours.
A passkey offers a secure and quick way to log in. We recommend creating one as an extra layer of protection for your account in addition to the security measures provided by Advanced Protection.
• We've already turned on advanced login protections for your account.
• To fully enable Advanced Protection, we'll check your account for vulnerabilities and help you resolve them.

Turn on Advanced Protection
While Facebook Protect is only available to accounts like yours, you can help your friends protect their accounts by recommending a Security Checkup.
Thanks so much,
The Facebook Team
